Living Environment Program
Here are a few convenient links to Living Environment program applications for:
- Overnight Transient Accommodation (OTA) Permit to Operate that includes Bed & Breakfast (B&B) locations
- Water Contact Facility (WCF) Permit to Operate for Pools, Spas and Hot Tubs
- Recreational Cabin form to file a 60-day occupancy notice with the County Auditor's office, or an Adequate Supply of Potable Water form to include with an on-site septic application
A Sanitary Survey includes both a water and septic system assessment. The Okanogan County Public Health District (OCPHD) employee must be allowed access to the inside of the building to take a water sample to return to the water lab for testing. If the well is not clearly visible, specific details are needed to locate the well and it will need to be easily accessible for inspection. The septic tank will need to be pumped out and a copy of the pumper's report must be forwarded to the OCPHD to be included with the Sanitary Survey.
If you are not sure which service you need performed, please contact us before sending your application and service fee(s).
