Okanogan County Department of Public Works is accepting applications for the following temporary, seasonal, non-benefited positions available in various maintenance areas.
M-2 Truck Drivers Areas 1 & 2 Omak/Okanogan This position has the primary function and responsibility to operate trucks and light equipment in the Road Division, and assist in all aspects of the maintenance and construction operations on the County’s road system and bridges. Wages are $18.17 per hour.
- QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must be 18 years of age, possess a Commercial Driver's License (Class A, Air Brakes, and Tank Vehicle endorsements), have a current updated health card and a current State of Washington traffic flagging card.
Traffic Control Striper Crewperson. This position works under the direction of the Traffic and Vegetation Control Supervisor and performs activities required to keep the sign/delineators and traffic markings function. Wages are $14.80 per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must be 18 years of age, possess a Commercial Driver's License (Class B and Air Brakes), have a current updated health card and a current State of Washington traffic flagging card.
Flagger and General Laborer. This position primarily performs traffic control within work sites for maintenance and construction projects. Operates assigned equipment and performs other assigned general labor duties. Wages are $14.80 per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must have a valid Washington State Driver's License and a current Washington Traffic Flagging card.
