Okanogan County - Emergency Management
The office of Okanogan County Emergency Management is accepting applications for the full time position of Specialist. Beginning salary is $2,719 per month with a 5% salary increase each year for the first 5 years. This is a non-union position with excellent benefits, which include vacation and sick leave, medical and dental insurance, retirement, life insurance and paid holidays.
The Specialist provides administrative assistance and support to the Emergency Management Director. Maintains county Emergency Plans. Maintains social media systems. Test and improves (ENS) Emergency Notification Systems. Provides public and governmental relations and maintains Emergency Operation Center readiness. Schedule and promote training throughout DEM personnel and the community. Coordinates Countywide ID card system.
- Prior to interviewing with the Emergency Management director for the
position, the applicant must successfully complete the following
Incident Command System courses: IS-100.c (Introduction to the Incident Command System, ICS 100),
IS-200.c (Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response) and
(An Introduction to the National Incident Management System). Go to

- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 21
- Valid Washington State Driver License
