Commissioner DeTro stated he conversed with a constituent
who does online rodeo signups for rodeos all over the world and he asked him if
we considered with the fair being situated on the reservation we could probably
run the fair. The rodeos are moving rodeos to reservations so they can have
their event. The Colville Reservation has restrictions right now that are
stricter shut down rules than the state, said Commissioner Hover. Commissioner
Hover replied that it is still county owned property. The rodeos are not
conducted by federal government. We are charged with health and safety of the
people in the county and we don’t want to endanger a bunch of people.
Commissioner DeTro wanted to make the board aware of the situation as it was
discussed with him.
Commissioner Branch explained why his photo is still
showing up on the county’s zoom account. He signs in and is co-host.
Commissioner Branch discussed the use of masks. Some
providers are being inundated with requests for masks and so EM is working with
EA on that for distribution to businesses since they have the business
connections.
