Full Time M2 Truck Driver - Area 2

Okanogan County Department of Public Works is accepting applications for a Full Time M2 Truck Driver (Area 2 – Omak/Okanogan/Reservation). An M2 truck driver is responsible for operating a dump truck for road maintenance, snow plowing and other light and heavy equipment operations. Starting wage is $16.42/hr. topping out at $19.78 in five years with full benefits and is a Teamsters Union position. Applicants must possess a Class A commercial driver’s license and current medical card. A flagging card is also preferred.

One position will be assigned to each Public Works area shop throughout the Count. Applicants must possess a CDL class A, current updated health card, and flagging card. Hourly wage is $16.43/hr.

Traffic and Vegetation Control Crewperson (2 positions)

Okanogan County Public Works is accepting applications for (2) Traffic and Vegetation Control Crewpersons with a salary range of $3,011 to $3,627 per month. Applicants must possess a CDL Class A with Air Brakes, Tank Vehicles, and Hazardous Materials, current updated health and flagging card and must have or obtain within 120 days of employment a WSDA Pesticide Public Operator License with Weed Control Right of Way endorsement.

The Traffic and Vegetation Control Crewperson has the primary function and responsibility to work under the direction of the Traffic and Vegetation Control Supervisor in all activities required for the maintenance and repair of the County’s Road System signing program and the Vegetation Control program. These responsibilities include assisting the Traffic and Vegetation Control Supervisor in planning, organizing, and performing the activities required to keep the sign/delineators and traffic markings functional, on all County roads. The duties also include operating a Vegetation Control spray truck or 6 wheel drive ATV, and hand held or backpack sprayers, on occasion. The crewperson may be required to operate pickups, trucks, light equipment and mowers in the daily operations required in the Weed/Sign Department.

Okanogan County Department of Public Works is accepting applications for (1) Traffic Control Striper Crewperson with a salary range of $2,847 to $3,429 per month. Applicants must possess a CDL Class B with Air Brakes and a current health card. A flagging card with first aid and CPR must be obtained within the 1st year of employment.

The Traffic Control Striper Crewperson has the primary function and responsibility to work under the direction of the Traffic and Vegetation Control Supervisor in all activities required for the maintenance and repair of the County’s Road System signing program and the traffic markings/striping program. These responsibilities include assisting the Traffic and Vegetation Control Supervisor in planning, organizing, and performing the activities required to keep the sign/delineators and traffic markings functional, on all County Roads.
