Solid Waste Recycle / Transfer Station / Equipment Operator

Okanogan County Public Works - Solid Waste Division is accepting applications for a FT Permanent Recycle/Transfer Station/Equipment Operator. This position serves as transfer station attendant scale operator for the public and commercial haulers, inspect trash loads and reconcile daily deposits. The position also is responsible for receiving, processing and inspecting recyclables from the public and commercial customers. Categorizing, sorting and baling recycle products in accordance with “end market” requirements. Starting wage is $16.30/hr. and tops out at $19.63 in five years. This is a Union position with an excellent benefits package including full medical/Dental/vision, paid vacation, sick leave and retirement, as well as life insurance.
