Comprehensive Plan Work Session
Angie Hubbard, Perry Huston

Director Huston discussed the history of the plan stating that some wanted it to be as general as possible while others wanted to see a lot of detail. He further showed the zoning map and what changes have been made to it over the years by the different board of commissioners.

Predominant parcel size language was reworded and shown via projector as 20 acres or more that are in proximity to other lands that meet other designation criteria and should be considered for inclusion in the ag resource designation.

Zoning designation was reworded and the new wording reviewed by the board.

Alternatives were discussed and revised language reviewed.

Density bonusís was discussed and the history of how it was or wasnít applied in our plan. The cannabis commanded center stage at the time, so that took precedence. It was never adopted. Commissioner Branch

Most of the discussion today resulted from comments submitted by interested parties. The comp plan as written didnít address all the issues it needed to, commented Commissioner Hover. This plan will follow the proper format, contain the information it should by law and contain an initial population growth analyses with information regarding how this plan may differ depending on which population growth model is relied upon.

The next comp plan work session will occur Tuesday, August 21 at 3:00 p.m.

The board adjourned at 11:00 am.
